Payroll/Timekeeping

How it works

Timekeeping is a Web-based application used by authorized timekeepers to report, administer, and maintain employee hours for payroll time records. Designated timekeepers report all hours worked, vacation usage, and sick absences by employees via the online timekeeping system. To report these hours, timekeepers calculate the hours used or worked by every employee, which is recorded on their timesheets.

Timesheets: Bi-Weekly and Monthly

Monthly Employees:

Timesheets for Monthly employees are due by the 15th of the following month. For example, April’s timesheets are due by May 15th. Any timesheets received after the deadline, may not be entered into our Payroll Timekeeping System on time. Thus, causing an inaccurate report on employee’s leave balances (LASR’s). Having an inaccurate leave balance can cause an employee to lose vacation time, if they are over max due to an in accurate reporting of vacation time usage.

Please report all absences and overtime worked, on the appropriate rows on your timesheets. Write the amount of hours for absences, or overtime worked, with the appropriate leave code (“S”= sick, “V”= vacation, and “C”= comp time earned). If you do not qualify for paid overtime, and you have elected Comp time, please indicate this on your timesheet. You can write a small note on your timesheet stating, “Comp Time Elected”. This will let the timekeeper know that all overtime hours worked, will be paid out with Comp Time, instead of paid overtime.

Bi-Weekly Employees:

Timesheets for Bi-Weekly employees are due by the following Monday of each Bi-Weekly End Date. For example, timesheets for period ending 5/1/10 are due by Monday 5/3/10. Any timesheets received after the timekeeping entry deadline, will be entered in combination with the following period. Both pay periods will be paid out on the following pay date.
