Faculty Development

The Faculty Career Development Program (FCDP)

The Faculty Career Development Program (FCDP) provides support to junior faculty who are members of the Academic Senate to enhance their chances for advancement to the level of associate professor. Awards generally provide release from teaching one to two courses, but may also provide funding for supplies/equipment, research assistants, etc.

The call for proposals is distributed annually in the fall. Awards are announced in the spring and implemented in the following academic year. Reports on how award funds were used are required from each awardee at the end of the academic year.
