The General Academic Pediatrics Division staffs the only academic primary care pediatric office for children residing in San Diego County, and provides the main clinical general pediatric teaching site for UCSD medical students and pediatric residents.

The information presented here will help you better understand the billing process and prepare you in advance for your visit. By discussing expenses in advance with your insurer, you will be better able to manage your medical bills.

Medical costs are often unexpected and not all costs are covered by insurance or Medicare. Please note that we offer various financial assistance programs as well as the opportunity to set up monthly payment arrangements to help make your payments more manageable.

Please contact your insurance to find out what services, tests and procedures your coverage and policy will cover. Verify your co-pay amounts as well as any co-insurance or deductible you may be responsible to pay as well.
